Designing immersive retail and experiential environments
At Disney, I designed physical brand experiences across in-store signage, wayfinding, retail buildouts, and large-scale trade show environments, translating major Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars properties into engaging physical experiences. This included highly complex custom-printed and engineered structures, such as full gazebo wraps for Disney Store product launches, as well as trade show booth designs for major events including D23 and San Diego Comic-Con. My work bridged graphic design, environmental branding, production, and vendor coordination to turn two-dimensional artwork into immersive, physical experiences that brought Disney storytelling into the real world.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens retail experience
For the launch of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, I helped develop a highly engineered Disney Store retail installation designed to transform an in-store gazebo into an Imperial spacecraft-inspired environment. I worked directly with production vendors to develop the artwork and printed components that wrapped the complex, three-dimensional structure, ensuring that the graphics translated accurately across the various curved and dimensional surfaces. The installation extended beyond traditional retail signage to become an immersive photo opportunity, with life-sized Stormtroopers positioned inside the structure to make shoppers feel as though they had stepped directly into the Star Wars universe. The project required balancing the visual demands of a global entertainment franchise with the practical realities of large-format printing, fabrication, installation, and retail environments—turning a relatively ordinary store fixture into a highly theatrical product-launch experience.

For Comic-Con, I helped develop a dedicated Disney Tsum Tsum retail booth designed to make the act of shopping feel like part of the experience. Rather than treating the booth as a conventional merchandise display, we created a playful environment centered around a giant Tsum Tsum plush dispenser positioned behind the cash wrap, giving fans something unexpected and entertaining to interact with while selecting their plushes. The space also incorporated Tsum Tsum-themed gaming consoles and illuminated vitrine displays showcasing collections tied to different Disney characters and IP. Visually, the booth was intentionally bold, oversized, and highly graphic, putting the distinctive Tsum Tsum artwork front and center so the installation could immediately communicate its identity within the enormous visual noise of Comic-Con. The result was a retail environment that blurred the line between merchandising, entertainment, and experiential storytelling—using the physical space itself to make the brand more memorable.
